It is with a heavy heart that I deliver the news that my trusty DKNY trench coat, which I've gushed about in many posts, has been ruined beyond repair. While I still mourn the loss of one of my favorite closet contents, the fashion show must go on. I immediately replaced the beloved DKNY anorak with this fetching Calvin Klein number.
While the fit and silhouette is boxier than I'm used to, I love the fact it comes with a hood — a very handy feature to have during NYC's crazy autumn season — and is heavily insulated. I took this new trench out for a stroll in Parisian fashion. A print scarf, tough leather boots, and metallic cross-body bag finished my look. While it may take some getting used to, it's safe to say this new trench and I started off on the right foot.
