Fun At The Plaza Hotel

I've held a fascination with the iconic Plaza Hotel since I watched Kevin Mcallister's lost days around the city in Home Alone 2. These days, I still pop in to appreciate the Gatsby-esque atmosphere and enjoy some yummy goodies. Now, it's well-known that The Palm Court and The Oak Room are hot spots for a good meal. But in my time in the city, I've discovered that some treasures lie beyond the traditional tourist destinations. If you ever find yourself in the area, be sure to take a look around the lower levels, where the marketplace and food hall lie.

The main level of the Plaza has a fair amount of fine dining options. But below at the market level is where you can find artisan bakeries, dessert makers, and wineries.

Eloise's tiny pink piano hidden at The Plaza's lower level.

If you happen to dine at The Palm Court, be sure to look up and appreciate the gorgeous stained glass art.
